Bodnar was a two-time Cup winner who won the Calder Trophy with a 62-point campaign in 1943-44 and held most of the Leafs rookie scoring marks.

47% since Feb 23. The last month the ice has tipped in favor of the other team.

Freddy has absolutely been stellar and bailed us out. .940 and 1.98 over the last month.

The Islanders could bump the Bruins from the wildcard spot tomorrow.

50.

But all stats during the war years should be taken with a huge grain of salt for a couple of reasons:

- the talent level was quite watered down, as a lot of players were overseas
- the rosters themselves were smaller, as in a lot of cases they simply didn't have enough guys for full rosters.

Don't we want Tavares to feel discouraged, like his team will never be on the right track?

i dont see him staying with NYI... i could see him trying EDM, Calgary, Tampa, dallas,

basically somewhere that needs the extra piece to put them over the top.

No.. we want JT to stay an islander..

People seem to forget that they actually have to pay these guys to play hockey.. I'm not okay with signing guys to big contracts so we'd have to move one of our young guys.. think about how much $$ the Leafs are going to have to spend on the rooks..

I'll skip the bridge deal and just show max contracts..

Matthews 9mil
Marner 8mil
Nylander 7mil
Brown 4mil
Zaits 4.mil
Rielly 5-6mil
Kadri 5mil
JVR 5.5mil
Bozak 3.5mil
Freddy 6mil
Hyman 1.5mil
Sosh 2mil
Gards 5mil
Carrick 4mil

And I was being conservative with those numbers and some of those contracts will be in like 4-5 years.. so (frank) Tavares unless he takes under 6mil which he won't because he's already the most under paid player in the league.

The Leafs don't really need him anyway. Focus on improving the top defense pairing.

When you have this many elite rookies you can't think too far ahead.. I'm sure some recent cup winners wish they thought through some signings a little more..
